Think about your relationship for one moment. Now imagine that you could have anyone in the world as a mate, would you choose to stay with your current partner? Do you think that your partner, if given the same option, would stay with you? Now imagine being in a relationship with someone who would sincerely say "I'd rather have bad times with you than good times with someone else," and you could sincerely say the same thing.
